A weekly recap of sports teams at Foothill High School. Coaches, captains, and players are encouraged to send detailed team information and stats to sports@fhspress.com.

Football

Our JV Mustangs lost in our non-conference game against Amador. They couldn't quite get things going against their staunch opponent eventually losing. Hopefully our JV team will come out of their slump, and beat Bradshaw Christian when we host them this Friday.

Varsity Mustangs improve to a record of 3-0, beating Amador in a close 20-12 non-conference win. During the game Dillon Paris, was ejected after kicking a helmet in the third quarter. Even though it was the least offensive game we have had, the combined 351 total yards was enough to take the win. Quarterback responsibility was shared between Kennith Williams, and David Sanders, while the running was split between seven of our Mustangs. This Friday, they face Bradshaw Christian at home with the goal of going 4-0.

Boys Soccer

JV beat Mira Loma in the end with a 3-0 score. They improve their record to 2-5. With 2 wins, and a team learning from their mistakes, look for a much improved JV Mustangs. Next week we host Antelope at home.

Varsity won their first game yesterday against Mira Loma, ending with a 2-0 shut out. With a win under their belt, they are starting to improve, and realize they are better than they have been playing. Look for our Mustangs to win against Antelope, as they come to the Foothill Stadium next week.

Volleyball

Volleyball lost against Inderkum winning one set, but losing the other three. Improvements are being made by a team that is growing is skill and confidence. They face off against Burbank today in a non-conference game.
