Boys Basketball
Friday, January 27, Foothill dominates Placer 63-47. Michael Bryson led the team to a victory with 17 points. But Michael didn't do it by himself. Anthony Williams put up 9 points on the score board. Kelly Bender summed up 12 point to increase the lead by a huge margin. Foothills record improves to 19-3, with a 14 game win streak. The Mustangs are headed to Colfax for another league game tonight. Come support us!
Girls Basketball
Last Thursday, January 26, the girls beat Placer 76-55. The hosting team couldn't handle the horse power. One of team leaders, Lawrell Dobbins, put 21 points up to help the team defeat Placer. Miakah Mccauley and Marissa Sanders helped assist the team by scoring a total of 18 points each. Today foothill hosts the PVL (Pioneer Valley League) game against Colfax hoping to upgrade their record to 14-7. Lets go Mustangs!
Wrestling
On Tuesday, January 31 the wrestling team proved there strength in a grueling battle against the Placer Hillmen. Jonathan Browning put up a strong fight in the 106lbs. weight class that paid off. Jesse Hernandez also showed his strength in his 134 lbs. match. Alden Bradley pinned his opponent with ease to hold it down for the 154 pounders. Overall, the wrestlers did an outstanding job, and are now preparing for championships next Friday, February 10.
