This cheer season has been the best season known at this school. It was the team's first time going to competition in a long while, and FHS won 3rd place in the Oakmont High School Cheer Competition on January 21.
Foothill, led by coach Sabrina Root, a Mustang alumnus competed in the varsity intermediate division. To take a trophy home, it showed that hard work, dedication and never giving up will seriously pay off in the long run.
"I will miss cheer after graduation. I had fun on this squad and we are all close," said Janessa Norris. "It went good, it wasn't a lot of drama. Cheer is my passion and I love and am going to miss everyone."
A lot of students here had doubted the team, but it was time for them to shine and show that they are a great squad and can accomplish anything they put their minds to.
