Class of 2013
This year's yearbook will be like no other at Foothill High School. For the fourth year in a row, the entire yearbook will be in full color, from cover to cover.
Senior quotes will be included. Basically, the seniors have an opportunity to write a quote in the yearbook, to be scanned, as is, in full color. Messages, good-byes, quotes, sayings, and even artwork is permitted. Just keep it clean. Seniors may include a quote for free, with bigger quote spaces available for $10 or $20. The deadline for submitting a senior quote is February 17.
The most fascinating aspect of the yearbook will be that featured stories in the yearbook will be translated into Spanish and Russian. They couldn't do every language, but these two are at the top of the list of spoken languages by families of FHS.
Students are already asking about the yearbook DVD and its "15 Seconds of Fame," when seniors get a chance in front of a video camera to say their final farewells to friends and teachers. While the DVD has become expected for a few years now, it is not officially part of buying a yearbook.
"The journalism class produces and sells a yearbook for a set price," said yearbook advisor Mr. Steve Dommer. "The past three years, we've included a DVD with a wide range of videos, including '15 Seconds,' but we don't advertise that. If it's in there, consider it a bonus. That said, I do have a lot of confidence in our DVD editor, Jake Larson. I think it'll be in there."
The price for the yearbooks is $60 until spring break, when the price will then go up. To guarantee delivery of your copy before summer, be sure to buy before the deadline.
