Students want back a lost elective in Automotive Shop

Express yourself in Wood Sculpture, Ceramics, Art, Culinary, Computer Graphic Design, and Publications – just to name a few. But is it really enough? I think we should have more variety in classes.

I mean classes like Auto Shop, which we had, but due to funding, were cut out of our curriculum. Why should this class be cut?

I think it's very important for students to learn the basics of car building/repairing because when you're stranded out in the middle of the freeway with no phone service (so you obviously can't call AAA), you should be able to change your own tire!
Many students agree that Auto Shop would be a fun, yet very informative, class. This class would allow students to get hands-on experience of working on the combustion engine and could be a jump-start to a great career.

As an elective, it obviously wouldn't be a requirement to take, but those who really want to learn these important life skills would have the opportunity to take it. You'd be surprised by the number of students who are interested in cars.
