Yearbook features to be in English, Spanish, Russian

Two students look over some stories before translating them into Spanish and Russian

The features in the yearbook this year will be translated into both Spanish and Russian.

The main translators for these features are yearbook staff members Jessica Gomez, David Pyavka, and Karla Rodriguez. Also helping will be senior Lilia Rusu. A large number of the students (and their families) here at Foothill speak Spanish and Russian, so the idea of having the yearbook written in both of those languages is a fine one.
"Even though I don't speak Russian or Spanish, I think it is really cool to have the stories translated," said Tyler Weaver.

Many students' families will appreciate the features being written in their native language for them to enjoy. This will be a great addition to the many excellent feature stories that are going to be in the yearbook this year, which include homecoming, the senior sunrise, blood drives, student bands, and more.

"I like that my mother will be able to enjoy my senior year along with me. I especially like that I don't have to translate for her since it's already going to be translated," said Gomez.
The yearbooks are on sale for $60 until Spring Break (March 29). After that, the price goes up to $70, and there will be no guarantee that your copy will be available before graduation.

Las características en el anuario (yearbook) de este año serán traducirán tanto como español y ruso.

Los traductores principales de estas características del anuario son los miembros del personal de Jessica Gómez, Pyavka David, y Karla Rodríguez (que soy yo). También con la ayuda de la estudiante del doce grado Lilya Rudu.
