CLASS MOTTO DOESN'T REPRESENT ENTIRE SENIOR CLASS
"We gonna party like, party like it's the end of the world. We gonna party like, party like its 2012…" To some, those words are just lyrics to a poorly written song by another run-of-the-mill rapper. But to me, and the rest of the Class of 2012, those lyrics are our class motto! It's in the graduation announcements that were created through Jostens. Awesome right?! Wrong. I received my grad announcements and found those lyrics written on the inside. In my opinion, that completely ruined my announcements and made FHS look bad. Shouldn't we have a motto that represents our class as a whole? Not everybody wants to "party like it's the end of the world." Is that what we want our class to be known for? I sure don't.
—Jordan Bolger, Class of 2012

GIVE STUDENTS LOCKERS AGAIN
I believe that we should have lockers here at school. Lockers could improve the students' ability to learn and lower the percentage of books lost. We wouldn't have to carry our books around. I once weighed all the books that the teachers expected us to carry, and my backpack weighed close to 10 pounds. That was just with my books alone. That can make students not want to bring their books to school and since we don't have class sets, we have to make sure we remember to bring them. If we had lockers then we could keep the books in our lockers, then get them when we need them. Now I know what you are thinking. What if we can't trust the students enough to keep just school supplies in the lockers? What if they bring something illegal (like drugs) or something that can harm other students? I agree with that one-hundred percent, but you have to give the students a chance. We're in high school now. It's time to start treating us like it.

3D MODELING CLASS WANTED
We high school students deserve more choices as far as electives go. Foothill High does not have a 3D animation class. This is something I'm sure many people would want to change in order to better investigate the fields of 3D modeling such as drafting, mechanical modeling, architectural modeling and much more. We should learn auto desk products like Rivet and 3Ds Max which are used to create movies like Rango and games like Assassins Creed. I hope any one person who reads this can see how adding this class could improve our education.
