Coach Scott Swartz has a extensive coaching experience, both professional and competitive. He has coached for colleges all over the nation, including Oregon and Arizona, as well as, local high school McNair in Stockton, and was part of the coaching staff for the NFL 49ers in 2004.
Many factors have led Coach Swartz to make his final decision to lead the Mustangs. When asked via text messaging if he was offered to coach for other high schools besides Foothill he replied, "Yes, but they were not where I wanted to go. I have seen in Foothill a great potential. I am here to start building this team."
He has made an instant connection with all of the players. Building the team will be the key to achieving their main goals, win the PVL and make it to the playoffs. But Coach Swartz stated that he is not only here to win, but to open the doors to those who have the dream and potential to go beyond high school football to play college and even pro.
