Soccer

The girls soccer team has had a challenging season with the record of 5-7-3 playing against formidable opponents so far. "We may not be winning games, but we're getting stronger as a team," said senior Marissa Sanders. "Every game makes us better. Our team tries hard and we have heart; in the end, that's all that matters."

Swim

Swim had a close couple of meets in the PVL this year, but usually the sheer numbers of the other team seals the deal, causing the Mustangs to lose the meet. On April 20, the team went to Placer to swim in a meet, but due to unusual circumstances, only 6 members of the Mustang swimmers participated. League championships for the team are on April 27 and 28, and hopefully some of the swimmers will be going to sections this year.

Tennis

Tennis had some good competition this year, as they faced challenging teams from our league. They played Placer on April 24. Championships for tennis are a bit different than other sports as singles play was on April 26, and doubles play was on April 27.

Baseball

It's been a long season for the Mustang baseball team so far. They've had their ups and downs but have managed to stay with a reasonable record of 6-10. Josh Aguirre and Mitchell MacDonald lead the team with a .400 batting average. The baseball team is scheduled to play at Raley Field in West Sacramento on May 5, making their third appearance in three years at the pro stadium.
