There are many new faces around Foothill High School. With new students, there are also new teachers. Marila Graham, Josiah Aston, Carmen Bowen are the new faces around the teaching staff. This is the first story in a series featuring the new teachers here this year.
Graham is Foothill High School's new Biology and Health teacher. She taught for three years at Grant High School before moving over to Foothill. Graham was in college for 10 years on and off before finding what she wanted to do, teach Biology and Health, and when she found it, it only took her two years to get where she is now.
Graham likes where she is at.
"I like how fun high schoolers can be," said Graham. "High school is such a dramatic time and it's really fun to be a part of it and it will ease some of the pressure off of them." Graham is looking forward to the many activities around school, like prom. She would like to take her husband to prom, since she did not go to her own prom.
"Really excited to be at Foothill, it seems like a very great place," Graham states. "All the teachers have all been really fun and engaging, and all the students have been really fun as well."
Look for interviews with the other two teachers, Josiah Aston and Carmen Bowen, coming soon.
