Ravi Lal, a new faculty member here at Foothill High School, has been teaching for a total of 12 years.
Before he came to Foothill, Lal was working at Gablin School, where he taught kids with special needs.
He believes his students need a lot of compassion and he loves to see them grow and learn.
He got his bachelor's at the University of the South Pacific Islands and he earned his special education credential from San Joaquin Teachers College.
Lal took this job because he really enjoys working with students with special needs. Some of his hobbies are visiting different places, going to the beach, and seeing his family.
“Give a man a fish to eat and he only eats for that day. Teach him how to fish and he will fish for life. That’s the motto I have for my students,” said Lal.
