A series of new faculty members this year at Foothill High School.

Otto Coelho is our brand new drama and LTEL teacher at Foothill High School. He also teaches at Foothill Ranch Middle School.

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday he works at FRMS and every Tuesday and Thursday he stays here at FHS and works with the LTEL.

LTEL is an abbreviation for Long Time English Learners. He teaches in the computer lab. Coelho teaches drama during 5th and 6th and he also teaches after school.

Before he worked here, he taught LTEL and drama at Woodland High school, then he saw an opening here and came to FHS. He loves to teach and the fact that he loves his job is good because if you don’t like your job then you get cranky and take it out on the people you work with -- the teachers and students.

“In my free time I like to read plays and write plays. I also like to write stories and even sometimes I like to act and direct plays,” said Coelho.

The fact that he likes his job and he does things outside his work that relates with his teachings just shows how much time and effort he puts into his work.
