Joshua Weiss is a new Special Ed teacher here at Foothill High School. He has been teaching for 10 years. Before he came to Foothill, he was teaching at a school in West Sac in the Washington Unified School District.
He's lived in California for four years.
Weiss is from Pennsylvania and he taught in Delaware. He went to college for four years then went to Kutztown University for one year to get his master’s degree.
“I believe that education is a pathway to a better future,” said Weiss.
During his time teaching here at Foothill, he’s loved it here. He enjoys the students and the staff.
Weiss thinks that there is good leadership here at Foothill. The only thing that he doesn’t like is when kids give him germs. Especially when it’s flu season.
Weiss is and advocate of getting an education beyond high school.
“I went to college and I realized that it opened up many opportunities for me that I took advantage of,” Weiss said.
