This week the fhspress.com Featured Athlete is the football team’s Sylvester Garnes.
In last Friday’s game against Mira Loma, Sylvester ran for a 50-yard touchdown, helping lead the Mustangs to 49-13 win. Garnes plays offense and defense the whole game.
Tim Trokey, the head coach of the team, is very happy about having Sylvester on his team.
“Ves had over 120 yds rushing and scored 2 TD’s,” said Trokey.
He’s one of the few people on the team that was there all summer and he leads by example, on and off the field. Sylvester is one of the hardest workers on the team and his coach’s love that.
“I really appreciate Sylvester’s work ethic and his attitude that he has on the field,” said Trokey about Garnes.
