Lending a helping hand is something most people want to do but can’t find the time. It may be easier than you think. Just head down to the library and ask Joanne Ligamari for a hands instruction packet.
“I don’t know a simpler or easier way to help somebody else in the world,” said Ligamari.
The packet contains a pair of outlined hands that you will decorate however you want, instructions on what you’re supposed to do and a more in depth explanation of where the hands you’ve made are going and what the money is donated to. Anyone could be part of the five hundred thousand dollars raised to go to saving the children’s empowering programs in Nicaragua and Indonesia.
Once someone is done making their hands they will turn them in to Ligamari before spring break and she will mail them in. It does not take much time and by doing this little thing. People are helping a great cause. Let’s not only stand together as a school, but as the young adults we are and take part in a change.
