Library Plexer challenges students

Every week a new puzzle is put up in the library for a chance to win a prize.

In the library with Joanne Ligamari, there is a whiteboard with a Plexer on it and it becomes a different plexer once every week.

They are there to make students think and focus on it. It gives them something fun to try to figure out and enjoy thinking about something not related to homework. If the student gets the Plexer correct, the student writes it down on a small piece of paper and places it in the container next to the Plexer. Then, Ligamari then draws a name and the student who gets drawn will have a chance to go up to the library and claim a prize. The prizes can be bookmarks, pens, pencil, or books.

Not only does the Plexer challenge students but, “The library Plexer takes your knowledge to a new height. It’s my weekly brain food,” said Jasmine Spoelman.

Jose Rodriguez stated that “A lot of people think the Plexer is extra work but in reality it’s a way to challenge yourself.”

The Plexer isn’t just an academic task, it is not very easy. It makes you think about it.
It is highly encouraged for students to think outside of the classroom and Plexers are great ways for students to use their brains and challenge themselves.

“The Plexer helps encourage us to use our minds outside of the classroom,” said Stephanie Ray.

The winners’ names will be announced over the announcements and there will be a piece of paper with the winners’ name on it in the front of the library in the window.
