Kids Can donate for pizza

Students, help out a charity for a pizza party in your second period.

There is a canned food drive here at foothill for your second period class, the canned food drive ends today, Monday November 13th, 2017. I talked to Mrs. Switzler, the activities director here at Foothill High School, about the canned food drive and she said last year our school collected the most cans in the Sacramento area with 20 boxes and over 11,000 cans.

"I dont think we can beat last years record but I sure hope so!" Said Switzler.

After the cans are collected KCRA takes them to a food bank in Rio Linda. The class who collects the most cans will receive 250 five star points and a pizza party, the place that the pizza is coming from is to be determined. Second place gets 100 five star points and third place gets 50 five star points. Second and third place don’t get any pizza. FHS doesn’t get anything out of being a record breaker but it’s just to give back to the community and help out the families that dont have enough food. So bring in your cans and nonperishable food items for those in need.
