Learn to beat procrastination

"I’ll do everything else that I need to do before I do my homework." Photo by Ahmylie Francecisco.

It's too easy for me to find something else to do instead of my homework.

The last two weeks I’ve had a lot on my plate, from stuff with family, to school and to friends. I’ve had a lot more homework than what I thought and it’s harder to find time for everything. I'm the type of person that gets stressed and has bad anxiety when it comes to things like this.

As you get more and more into your high school years, you get more work and some of it can be harder, and some not. During these times you need to find time and the motivation to do your work.

You realize that you have more work and your assignments for your classes; it’s harder. You have to find time to do it all and get it all done. You can get busy and have other things to do but you can’t procrastinate.

Procrastination. That’s something a lot of people do when it comes to things they need to do but don’t want to. You have to make time. Time takes a big part in your life, especially if you already have things you have to do and or things you do on a daily basis.

To be able to get everything done, you need to manage your time. This is based off of what time you get home, what you have to do when you get there, and what homework you have.

For me, personally, it’s hard to plan what I’m going to do because something always pops up, and or I find something else I need to add on to the list of to-do’s.

Most of the time I have homework in at least four of my six classes. For me, it’s getting my work started that I procrastinate on, and after I get it started, I can finish it, no problem. But if I don’t do it in the first place, then it takes me forever to start and I’ll procrastinate.

I’ll do everything else that I need to do before I do my homework.
