The Friday Night Live is a club here at Foothill. The club is to help promote leadership, unity, and a healthy lifestyle.
This Friday Night Live club is doing a food drive. The first period class that has collected the most cans by December third will receive a free lunch made by our culinary class on December 11th. There should be a box in your first period, just ask your first period teacher.
I don’t think some people notice or know the reality of some kids' lives. Some people just don’t know where their next meal will come from. People live in the reality of not knowing (either no one knows it or when they tell someone, they don’t know how to wrap their heads around it).
Being able to go to a grocery store or stopping somewhere to get food can be a real privilege, especially to the kids that just can’t do that. I know that some people just don’t know what to do with that information.
Things you should bring into the food drive is any canned items like meats, fruits, beans, vegetables, fish, and soups. Bringing in cans to help this food drive would be something great for students and staff to do. This is a great thing to do because you’re helping other people. Even if it’s just cans that no one will eat at your house, someone somewhere else will.
Don’t forget to bring them in before December third.
